Tricia's Story
Life..A Journey
This past September, I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. It doesn't run in my family, I just happen to find it through a routine mammo.
Thanks to my family, doctors and friends, I can now call myself a survivor. Having a positive attitude, knowlege and great resources, it made this "bump in the road" all do-able.
During this phase, I had chose to be treated at St. Barnabas Cancer Center in Livingston and traveled there everyday. Just driving through town brought back such fun memories. Drove by my house everyday, just wanting to knock on the door to ask to see the house...Expand for more
:-) (But didn't) But I drove by many of your homes, each day pointing out to myself who lived where... the comfort of home.
I have joined the Young Survivors Coalition and want to get the message out to all of my colleagues... Schedule your Mammogram today! Or your wife/mother/daughter. It can save a loved one! I know..... Just get it done!
I'm blessed with the support of my biggest fan, my husband Dan, and my 3 children who are now 13, 8 & 6.
