Trish's Story
I get to keep up on some things at Stevenson because my sister is a teacher at Franklin, strange but true.
I was a liability claims rep for several years in Michigan before moving to North Carolina courtesy of IBM (my husband's employer). I have been in North Carolina for almost 14 years now. I taught middle school math for a while in a Catholic School down here(for those of you who really knew me you can stop laughing now).
I have two sons, 17 and 15 years old. My first son is biological. My second son was adopted from Romania at the age of 5, he had been in the orphanage system there since birth. Nothing makes you appreciate living in the U.S. more than going to...Expand for more
Romania and seeing how other people live. I stopped working to teach my son English and to acclimate him to having a family. I now work as an Analyst for the Fleet Division of a governmental agency. My office is attached to the commercial garage and the mechanics make me laugh every single day. I have to admit, this is the best job I've ever had (aside from being a mom).
I still get to Michigan a few times a year to see family and of course I hit the Wintergarden Bar the night before Thanksgiving...usually with Terry Sills who arrives from New York that week.
