Norma Jackson:  

I graduated La Sierra,Class of 1962. Completed cosmetology school right out of high school. Plans changed. Attended American River for a year. Married in 1965, lived in Hayward. Worked for Sears in credit dept. moved to Auburn, CA. Mother of three, was busy doing all the mommy things. Lived on a ranch, gardened, canned, cooked, baked, cleaned....and then. Back to school. Completed AA from Sierrra College in 1977. During my time at Sierra College I changed my name from Norma, which I never liked and did not fit, to Trisha. A decision I have never regretted. I divorced in 1977, moved back to Sacramento, worked Real Estate for Moss and Moss. ( now that's a blast from the past.) I remarried in 1981 and back to school . BA in 1984 from Sac State. It will always be Sac State to me. Lived in Vacaville, worked with foster kids. Eventually developing my own program and running two group homes for kids. Sold business and ran away from home at age 47 😳. Lived in Baton Rouge, LA. Moved to Texas in 1992. Completed my Masters in Social Work in 1995, age 50. Worked with kids and families for several years. Took a break and went back to work as Director Of Social Services for a nursing facility. I loved the work, relating well to the patients.
