Trisha's Story
My story...well, it¿s always changing.
On any given day I might be trying to get trained penguins through airport security for a special event I¿m managing or negotiating with my son to eat his veggies. I could be running around the Furniture Market promoting a client¿s soy-based foam or running out to the store to pick up something for dinner. I¿m a mom, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a business owner, an artist...and the positions rotate order daily.
Seriously¿I¿m not Martha Stewart, Rachael Ray or the Super Nanny. I¿m just like everyone else, juggling what I have in the hopes it comes out right at the end of the day.
High school seems like a million years ago and just last week all at the same time. Anyone else have that recurring dream that it¿s final exams and you didn¿t go to class all semester?

day with my husband and son. Since then I¿ve enjoyed a number of careers, including graphic design, magazine editing, interior design, corporate communications, public relations, consumer product design, and freelance writing. Note: no forays into medicine, science or politics. At present I work as a marketing and communications consultant and Interior Designer. It¿s finally enjoying the opportunity to create work that supports my life instead of the other way around.
In retrospect, I think high school is a holding place, just like the gate at the airport before your flight leaves. You¿ve got to be there, follow the rules and wait until your name is called. And once you finally take off, the destination is up to you and there¿s really no going back.
