Life My life in a nutshell as of Aug 2005... My life since high school? It's been a while. Well, after high school, I went on to San Jose State and completed a BS in mechanical engineering in December 1990. Little did I know at the time that engineering would not be my passion -- far from it! In 1991, I went to work for United Airlines as a aircraft engineer & project manager. Although I was never really enthralled with the company, I stayed there for 6 years. It was there that I met Susan, so something good did indeed come of it. I stayed at UAL until 1997, when I made some career and life changes. In mid-1997, I went to work for SBC (Pacific Bell at the time) as an outside plant manager. Six months later, Susan and I got married. I also returned to school to start an MBA program at Santa Clara University, which would take me until 2000 to complete. While with SBC, in 1999, I transitioned from the 24/7 grind of an outside plant manager to the fairly cushy responsilities of an account manager. By mid-2000, my largest account, Covad Communications, had recruited me and so I left SBC to join them. With Covad, I started as their national DSL manager and somehow springboarded from that into a finance director's role.
