Jeannie's Story

Life I married Steve in 1983 and almost 23 years later we are still married. We have two daughters (16 and 15), a cat and a dog. We live in Watkinsville, Georgia. Back in 1990 we had the hair-brained idea to move to Syracuse, New York. We lasted 5 whole months (March to August). Yes, we did not even spend a winter there and decided we were in the wrong place. rs ago. After so many years of not having family nearby, it is wonderful to have them so close. Workplace I started out as a Medical Laborotory Technician (MLT). Later I upgraded and became a Medical Technologist (MT). I eventually became the Technical Specialist of the Chemistry department at Athens Regional Medical Center (ARMC). In 2005, I left the laboratory and moved to the Information Services department at ARMC. Currently my main focus is implementing the lab portion of our new Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
