Tyler's Story
After high school I kicked around Birmingham for a few years, even did a year at UAB. In 1993 I decided to give the Navy a shot and see some of the World. Well 15 years later I'm still here. Every time I thought about getting out I found some reason to stay until finally I admitted I really like it and maybe pretty good at the job. So far I have been on three continents, ten different countries and even been to the North Pole. I have served with and for some of the best people I have every meet. I have spent most of the time stationed out of San Diego but have spent time in Maine and Connecticut. ows us curveballs. My wife Michelle and I were married in 1999 and on January of this year we had our first child, an 11 lb little boy named Phillip. He is now the center of our lives day and night. In the past seventeen years I have not stayed in contact with anyone from Birmingham and just started thinking about people from there when I came across this website. As for my life here in San Diego what can I say it is paradise, the weather is great, the people are great and there isn¿t anything you can¿t do here. I love my job even if it takes me away from home for six months to a year sometimes, I have the best young people in the world working for me and I have a great family. Pretty boring I guess.
