I ended up becoming a Ph.D. Research Physicist. I study materials at the atomic level using powerful electron and ion beam instruments. rnovae. I attempt to understand processes that occur around dying stars by studying the stardust that they create. I essentially study astronomy, not by looking up with powerful telescopes, but by looking down with powerful microscopes.
