VALERIE's Story
The most interesting thing has happened to me since I was born, besides my adoption, that is, I am in contact now with my brother whom I was separated from at birth, George, who is 2 years younger than me. He lives out in CA and has a 12 year old daughter, Amanda.
I have been doing art fairs and selling my art since 1993. I've been doing (being a vendor at) the Farmers' Market in Three Rivers, Michigan, and selling my art there.
Where have I been keeping myself since graduation? Grand Rapids, Three Rivers, Kalamazoo. Haiti. I went to Haiti in 1988-89 as a short term missionary secretary working alongside Mennonite Central Committee, I was matched through InterChristo. I came back after a year of living there.
I have worked in Drs. offices and hospital medical records departments for over half of my life being a medical transcriptionist. I am now disabled, but I do go to art fairs and sell place-mats of my Spencerian penman...Expand for more

I was born-again in 1979. I got married 3 years ago to Paul VanOrden, from Midland, MI, who I met at my apt. complex. I met him in March of 2010, married him in July of 2010. Paul is Mr. fix-it and is a great help at my booth at the Three Rivers Farmer's Market, as well as the U.S. 131 Flea Market.
I am presently contacting some art galleries around lower SW Michigan (Open Door in Sturgis), and may be putting some artwork in there, Lord Willing.
I enjoy doing Spencerian handwriting or penmanship with a dip pen. I learned to do that in 2011, and have been practicing it most days since then.
My brother, Mark Norberry, rides a motorcycle around the country, and plays cards for a living. My brother, Jeff, works for Disney in Florida. My sister, Jill, is working for a large Non-Profit organization. My sister, Meg, is in Fla. and is presently exhibiting her photographs in the Art Museum of Orlando.
