Linda's Story
I moved to Lancaster from down below(LA) in 1954 to start my sophmore year. Completed my junior year but only some of my senior year. Did not participate in the 1957 graduation ceremonies. I got married in 1957 (way too young) and had 1st son at 19... he was AVHS class of 77. In school I was very shy. I had Red hair and Freckles. Remember being teased a lot.
I remember the sundial in front of the school which became a good place to meet. We went off campus, downtown for lunch period.
I worked 30 years for General Telephone in Lancaster. That job lasted longer than my marriage. (LOL) ...Expand for more
Raised 3 sons in the desert.
Youngest went into Navy after graduating AVHS class of 84. He and my grandkids are why I have moved to Jacksonville Fla.
Oldest son lives here now also. He moved here from Miss. after Katrina wiped out all he had in Waveland Miss.
I am retired and enjoying my 4 grandchildren as a single grandma, and still have many friends back in Antelope Valley.
My BFF is Becky Casper who works on reunion committees for AVHS and was class of 58 (or was it 59) She still lives in Lancaster.
