Val's Story
Let's see..I went to USM on the "6 year plan" while working full time. Eventually I got sick of getting nowhere with my degree (it was a self-designed major with few offered classes in my major) and transferred to State University of NY at Oswego, met my 1st hubby and got a double BA in Education and Spanish. We had our daughter and divorced 9 years later.
I had a home daycare for a while before going into teaching. I met a great Aussie, traveled to Australia to meet his family, and we finally married a few years later (it was a LONG immigration process). We had a son in May of 2007 and will have a daughter this coming May. I'm still curre...Expand for more
ntly teaching, but considering working at home again after the baby comes...
The story wizard suggests I write how I think friends will remember me from high school. I was...sorta goofy probably, a middle-of-the-road student, and someone who just never really fit neatly into a particular box..but I'd like to think I befriended everyone I met to at least some degree.
You may also recall a certain "Mad Hatter" who used to stick really tacky notes in people's lockers to brighten people's day (back in our sophmore year I think). Yup, that was me. As I said, I was probably a little goofy.
p.s. I can't wait to see everyone at the reunion this year!
