Life
Hi - I have 2 daughters, Kadija who is 42 and Aisha who is 43. Kadija and Bob, her husband, have 3 children - Samantha who's 19,Cameron who is 15 and Reagan who's 10 and they live in VA. Aisha has a little girl named Jordan who is 11 years old. I moved from NY in 1980 to Northern Virginia when my employer at the time, Mobil Oil Corporation, moved to Fairfax. Lived there for 12 years. I remarried 21 years ago and Chris and I now live on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. He was born on St. Croix but grew up in the Bronx and went to Power Memorial H.S. We met when we both lived in Virginia. He swears he knew all the girls high schools in NY and he never heard of St. Alphonsus. Had to drag out my diploma to prove it really existed. The only person I ever kept in contact with is Theresa Washington who graduated in 1968. She lives in the Chicago area and has 3 children, a girl who is a graduate of Tuskegee Univ. and twin boys. I read a few years back that both Sr. Miriam and Sr. St. Joseph passed away. Sr. St. Joseph was 100 when she died. I also saw that St. Alphonsus Church and school were torn down years ago. Went back to the old neighborhood one day back in the mid-80's and they were gone. It was funny to see a vacant lot where we used to go to school. I hear there's a hotel in that spot now. I had a great reunion a few years ago with 10 St. Al's Gals in the Village. Hope to hear from you. This is a picture of me and Chris on a cruise in November 2012.
