Valerie's Story
I have been married to the same man for 35 years and we have four sons: Zachary (30),a lawyer in New York Ciy; Nicholas (27) who works for Constellatin Energy in Houston, Texas and has given me a lovely daughter-in-law and two beautiful granddaughters; Christopher, (24) who is finishing a degree in English Literatur in San Francisco and wants to go on for a Ph.D. in Medieval Studies; and Brendan (almost 22)who is finishing a degree in Psychology at his father's university, University of St. Thomas in Houston. My husband, Terry, is a philosophy professor and director of the Honors Program on campus. Other than a stay at home mother, I have spent most of my time as a perpetual student and a high school teacher. For those of you who remember my drama interest in high school, you won't be surprised to learn that I have taught English, Speech, and Drama.
I have not kept up with high school friends but find myself growing nostalgic as I get older. I remember Raylene Harrison, Paula Muscio, Mark Morgan, Dorothy Bray and others with fondness.
