Valerie's Story
Life
In 1969, I married and moved to San Francisco and remained there for 31 years. I have one daughter, Lindsay, who is a horse lover.
In July 2005, I relocated to Santa Fe, NM and have become an organic gardener which I'm very much enjoying. I had talked of leaving CA for five years and finally made it. Life here is great; beautiful blue skies, no smog, not much traffic, clean air and water, great lifestyle.....good things never last.....In September 2012, I moved back to CA, residing in Fresno. I spent two years at FJC while working part-time at the Anaheim Visitor & Convention Bureau.
Workplace
My first job in San Francisco was at the San Francisco Convention & Visitors Bureau. I then worked for the architectural firm of Leo A. Daly Company. In the mid-1970's, I became employed in the venture capital field and stayed until early 2001. It was interesting work, provided a good lifestyle and there were very exciting times. I worked for the City of Santa Fe for five years, now retired.
