Valerie's Story

Life Let's see... Life since high school... I've gone to Red Rocks for years, but never could decide what I enjoyed the most, at least enough to turn into a degree... Sociolgoy, Speach Communications, Gym... So many choices!! My career endevours have been a lot more successful- mostly in the mortgage & and real estate field. I left to stay home with my son. I've tried various jobs for a while. Since Feb 2002 I have been a Romance Specialist and LOVE the fact that I bring so much joy and spark back into the bedroom for women and couples. Feel free to check out my website. I married my old juinor/high school sweetheart Nick Murphy (name change from VanRooyen). For those of you that know him, he's doing well. We had our son, Preston, in December 2000. Funny, but we couldn't agree on a boy's name so I flipped through my old high school year book... Remember Preston Loos (spelling?)? Well, we bothed loved the name and I remember Preston as being a positive role model in school... so there you have it... Preston Caufield Murphy. Well, I think that's about it! Hope all is well with all of you! Have a great day! School Would I do high school over again? No. Would I do it differently. Of course! I would not have let my fears overwhelm me. I would have befriended those that needed it and not been quite so friendly to those that didn't deserve it. Knowing what I know now, I would have spoken my mind more freely. I would have tried out for a sport even though my family could not afford it. I would have gone to class more often and built a successful and inspiring course list and grades. I would not have worked my part time job so much, even though I needed the money, just so I ...Expand for more
could have stayed a kid longer. I wish I had the knowledge that I have today to help my mother back when she needed guidance and reassurance during a trying time in her life. I would have purchased the most beautiful house and piece of property in Evergreen when it was offered to me. I do however, have the fondest of fond memories... Sneaking out of the house to ride around mountain roads with some of my best girlfriends and some boys in a VW Bug. Watching the fireworks that were such a family joy every July over the lake. Babysitting a group of crazy kids and hoping I made a difference in their lives. Working with my mom at the Wolfhouse for almost 3 years and all the crazy times we had and the lifelong friendships that were made. Moving out of the house when I was 18 and realizing I needed to actually get my license, a car and a "real" job and finish high school. Key Club. Playing in the auditorium with friends and just the sheer childishness and innocence in those times. Ditching class to play volleyball. FunPlex and getting boys phone numbers- including that of which one I am now married to. Meeting some of my best friends on the earth and the love of my life. Cheers to Growing up in the Mountains! College Loved going to Red Rocks- fantastic instructors and flexible schedule, not to mention inexpensive. I wish I had completed my degree, but my careers took off too quickly. I know someday I'll go back- but I'll also have to re-do all my credits- argh! Mostly- I just have to say thanks to Dr. Brown for my very first day, very first class of college. Had it not been for his innovative teaching styles I would have never truly known a love and passion for Sociology!
