Vance's Story

Life Married - Jody Whittimore (1997); Daughter - Catie Vance Cheek (July 20, 2000). Catie has my bone condition but is doing well and undergoing new treatments at Johns Hopkins 4 times a year. Became an attorney in 1990 and practiced privately in firm of Cheek & Wheeler, PLC until July 2, 2001. Elected Vice-Mayor of Johnson ...Expand for more
City (1997); Mayor (1999). Appointed by Govenor Don Sundquist as Commissioner to the Tennessee Claims Commissioner (2001) for the Eastern District of Tennessee. I left private practice in July to assume the post of Commissioner. I will remain in Johnson City. Family is fine, healthy and wise. We are truly blessed and thankful!
