Veda's Story
I grew up in Victory Villa and Oliver Beach and attended and graduated from Kenwood class of '65'. Attended and graduated form University of MD Practical Nurse Program. Was a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1967 and worked at Saint Joseph Hospital in Towson. I married in Sept. 1967 and had my first son Feb. 1970. Sighed up for the 1970 fall semester at Harford Community College for the R.N. program. I finished the semester and had my second son Jan 1971. I transferred to Essex Community College and completed more semesters and had my daughter Jul 1973. Going to college off and on between babies I graduated from Essex in 1976, received my R.N. and continued working at St Joe for a total of 34 years. Jan. 2013. After 18 years of marriage we divorced ( I said I would never get married again). Paul came into my life and waited 2 years for me to say yes. He has been more of a father to my children than their biological father ever was. Aug 2014 will be 27 years. ( second time has been awesome ) I have been a Real Estate Agent for 30 years, the last 12 years with Long & Foster. My husband, son, granddaughter and I love to shoot sporting clays in our spare time.
