Lisa's Story
After leaving Whitney, went to Jones Metro for junior and senior year. Before the end of senior year, our family moved to Texas. Would have graduated in '86, but was not aware that to graduate in Texas, a kid has to take Texas Government. And, if I remember correctly, the credit requirements were higher here in Texas, at the time, than they were in Chicago,IL. I could have gotten it all taken care of in summer school, but there was no way I was going to miss out on the graduation ceremony! So I went back to school in the fall, just half the year, and at the end of the year I was there for the official ceremony. Yeah, I really didn't know anyone, but I was still glad to be there.
I met my husband James in the winter of 1986 at a wedding reception. We danced together just 2 or 3 times, but it was enough to know. James proposed 3 months later.
Finally, we married in December of 1987. A fairly small wedding at his Kingdom Hall.

a very small apartment for a couple of years, and then, after James' father died, we moved into his father's home. It needed alot of work, and we did not have alot of money. Over the years we have slowly made improvements to help make this house our home.
We have a 14 yr. old, a 7 yr. old, and two yr. old. All girls, and only the second one was planned!
We are glad we waited awhile to have children because we have more patience than most very young parents probably have, however, we wish we had more energy for them. Which is where my saintly parents come in. James could not wish for better in-laws, and I cannot imagine my life without them and all of their love and support. They are in better physical shape than James and I and have much more energy than we do.
Throughout the years we have continued to be active as Jehovah's Witnesses and dearly love our friends.
That is all I have time to write about for now. Have to go run some errands!
