Velma's Story

1977 graduate of Roy Miller High School. Graduated from St. Mary's University in 1982 with a BBA in Marketing Management (and they said I couldn't do it!).. Completed secondary teaching education (English) in 2001 but NEVER went into teaching. Joining a sinking ship wasn’t attractive. Married for 30 years. or a local community college. Works for the government as a buyer. Only daughter graduated and was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in 2013 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Became a Captain in 2018. No grandchildren just a great dog who died of cancer in 2018. RETIREMENT at our age is admitting one foot’s in the grave so continuing to work is a must !!!
