Vera's Story
Life
I grew up on Prospect Street after I came to the US with my family from Holland when I was 2. I attended Franklin Elementary School and graduated in 1968 and started High School at CJ Scott.

In 1973 I married my first husband, and after a few years, moved to Orange County, NY.
I attended Orange County Community College from 1978 to 1980, graduating with a degree in Dental Hygiene.
After 13 years of marriage, I was divorced. I married my second husband in 1987, and we had a son in 1988.
I have recently retired to sunny Florida.
