Vera's Story
I hope old friends remember my sense of justice and sense of humor.
I always wanted to be an attorney when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right; however, I didn't go in that direction..

After becomming a Union Steward, I was promoted into management and remained with PacBell, SBC, and AT&T until I retired as an Actg. District Manager in 1998. tion (I would teach or facilitate workshops) or business stratedgy development. I also supervised front-line staffs from 5 to 100+ people. My greatest joy was in supporting individual personal development. I love to see the light come on!
I lived and/or worked in Burlingame, San Mateo, Redwood City, Sunnyvale, San Jose, Mountain View, Stockton, Sacramento, San Francisco, and San Ramon. After an absence of about 30 years, I moved back to Modesto in 2006, and just recently purchased a home there. I live with my partner of 17 years, two mini-schnauzers, and three beautiful kitties.
In addition to the above, I am a three-time cancer survivor (cervical, breast, and non-Hodgkins lymphoma) and an ordained minister.
