Happy New Year to all!
I am happy to let you know that I have accepted a position with Macys as Product Director for Fashion Jewelry (my field of expertise) in Private Brands starting February 1. This division had an extremely strong retail sales season last fall in a very challenging economy. I am excited and proud to join this talented, professional and successful team.
Thank you to everyone who offered support, encouragement and leads during my recent job hunt. I would like them to know that I followed up on each and every one of those leads and met some great people along the way, so I thank everyone who sent me those opportunities. I am lucky to have you in my life! Wishing you all a happy, healthy and successful New Year!

Wow~ 40th Year Reunion!
Hi all, I am so looking forward to seeing people from High School, it just seems like another lifetime and I guess it truly was. As Dave Haar said, 40 years is wild! It looks as though everyone is doing really well with great families and pets! There is some great energy brewing in this 40th year reunion. I myself am very well, never left Long Island, live in Syosset, am newly married to an amazing man and have a wonderful son fully grown (working in NYC) and my two great stepchildren, the last one in college. at and horses (and keep in our memory one chinchilla who passed last year). My career has been interesting in fashion retail and wholesale that has let me travel many times to Asia~my latest job was SRVP of Merchandising for Jones Apparel Group. Being a victim of the recession, I was laid off in June, but am looking ahead to new opportunities and have been busy networking and exploring new avenues. In the past eight years, it has been my pleasure to take part in volunteer organizations like Dale Carnegie, Pet Peeves, Making Strides and the Massapequa Park Bicycle Club. There have been many fun activities connected with them, have met tons of inspiring people and gotten a lot of payback in volunteering for others. We just held our MPBC Tour of the Hamptons (annual charity bicycle tour fundraiser) Sept. 26 with great success, 950 registrants!
Someone very special sent this to me; "Our lives are not determined by what happens to us but by how we react to what happens, not by what life brings to us, but by the attitude we bring to life. A positive attitude causes a chain reaction of positive thoughts, events, and outcomes. It is a catalyst, a spark that creates extraordinary results!"
And my favorite saying at the moment;
