Vern Bailey:  

Vern is from Traverse City, Michigan. Vern's schools include Traverse City High School. After graduation I married in 1967 and had 3 children. I worked at Chef Pierre (now Sara Lee) for a year attaining the Head Cook position. I then aced a logic aptitude test with National Cash Register (NCR) and was hired by Traverse City State Bank in 1968. I worked there for 6 1/2 years and then obtained a Systems Analyst position with NCR in Mundelein, IL attaining the highest field level by 1977. IL. In 1979 I transferred to the Lansing, MI office for about a year. I then moved back to TC learning to repair typewriters for a month then moving on to Cherry Central for 3 months learning a new programming language and finally took a programming position at National Bank & Trust and married for 2nd time in 1980.. After NBT was bought out by NBD,Na, I became a bank officer in charge of bookkeeping/customer service, proof department, and computer operations. In 1986 I married for a 3rd time which lasted for over 29 years and resulted in our final child ( a son - Vern III) in 1988.
