Verna's Story
After graduating from Reavis, I attended Western Illinois University in Macomb and received a BS in Education plus some graduate course work. I got married and moved to Beardstown where I taught school for over 30 years (all in the same building--yikes!) I lived in Beardstown, IL for 25 years (don't ask me why) then moved back to Macomb, IL where I presently reside with my husband. I've been retired for 3 years now--every day is a weekend! I visit the Chicago area several times a year to see my family. I've traveled alittle bit--Spain, Italy, Germany, England, France, Austria, Switzerland, Cancun, Cape Cod/Martha's Vineyard (my favorite) and of course the annual trip to Vegas. I love going to estate sales and have a small antique booth at a local shop. My husband has one daughter and three grandchildren. They live here in Macomb. Well, that's alittle bit of what I've been up to since 1969!
