Veronica's Story
I came out to California to attend college at Claremont. I graduated with a degree in geology, got married, had two kids, and somewhere in all that, got my teaching credential. I teach in public elementary school, usually grades K-2.
The picture is of me is on a trip to Guatemala, where my husband was born.
I have a son, Benjamin, who is 12 and a daughter, Olivia, who is almost 11.

hool colleagues to believe, but here is the verse that directs my life:
"To live is Christ, and to die is gain."
Besides my family and job, I put my energy into grassroots organizing to help poor people have safer neighborhoods, better health care and education. If anyone ever moves out to L.A., let's get together. I've often felt that I left Stratford behind with all the crap that was my life, but now I wonder...
