Vic's Story
I'm probably not real memorable from my high school days, because I kept a pretty low profile then. Like most, it was just something you had to do and sometimes I went and sometimes I didn't. In short, I wasn't a very good student.
I always wanted to be a Doctor when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea idea, but as it turns out, they were wrong. Didn't really have the grades or the drive to take that on, but did go on to obtain and MBA. Who would of figured?
After high school I entered the Navy and became a Hospital Corpsman. My Navy career lasted until 1979. I stayed in healthcare and remain there to date. As stated, I went on to get a Master's Degree in Business and another in Health Care Administration.
Due to the type of work I do, I've lived in various places around the country. At this time I work as a CEO for a Neurosurgical company in Columbus, Ohio, where I live with my wife Sue and 3...Expand for more
Miniature Schnauzers (Benson, Max and Robert).
I love to play golf and Bass Fish. On weekends (when there is no snow on the ground) you can find me on the links or the lake. I've found out that as I get older I require more and more down time. That's what I tell my wife anyway. Probably a sign that I am ready to retire.
There is a lot more detail to my life than that. It's difficult to recap 35 years in a few sentences, but overall, I don't regret much. Life has been pretty good. It's been a series of ups and downs, but that's what make us what we are.
My current age is 53. When I was a kid, I thought that people my age now would be dead, or in a convalescent home. Afterall, they were "Old Folk". I was so completely wrong. I will say that I view life very differently now and I've come to enjoy every healthy, waking minute of it.
If you knew me in High School, drop me a line. I'd love to hear from an old aquaintence.
