Vicki's Story
Im on Facebook now. Go check it out. I got married in 1982 to Mark Chadwell and we have been married for 26 years now. We are very happy together. He was in the Navy when we first were married. We lived in several states the first few years. We moved from Flint to Virgina Beach, VA to Crum Lynn PA to Jacksonville, Fl. After he got out of the Navy we did some different jobs. I settled into Hurley Hospital. I worked there for 13 years and retired in 1999. I worked in the Finance Department. The job was just getting too stressful and Mark had a chance to move to Winona, MN. We lived in Winona a couple of years and we moved back to Lapeer MI for a few years. We bought some rental properties in the Fenton Rd and Atherton Rd area. Then we decided to move to Texas to get a lake front house since waterfront is cheaper down there. We live about 70 miles east of Dallas. We love it down here. The people are friendly and we live on a dead end street. We live on Lake Fork which is one of the best fishing lakes in TX. It's nothing to catch 8 lb Largemouth bass and the record I think is 18 lbs...Expand for more
. The crappie are about 15" long and I really like catching them and they are great for eating too. We never had any children. We have had four dogs and I just recently lost my favorite Poodle she was a small toy and she was my lap dog. I have one other toy poodle who is 12 yrs old and seems to be in great health. We don't work now and we live off the rentals in Flint. We have had some renters for years. We are selling the 5 rentals if anyone is interested. We had went through them and put new kitchens and bath and carpet, paint, water heaters, some the furnaces. We don't have many repair issues that way. I always said I wanterd to retire by the time I was 40. I did retire but we still have paper work and some repairs on the rentals. I now have poor health and I have a accelerated form of parkinsons disease called MSA. But I still can go fishing. Baiting the hook gets to be a real challenge though. I hope everyone else in my class is having better health and have had a good work history. Recently divorced a week a go in May 2014... looking forward to a better and happier life now
