Vicki Parks:  

LPHS will forever have a special place in my heart. I had many close friends and enjoyed the teachers who taught me. After graduation, I attended Sam Houston State for three years. I married Clarence in June of 1971 and moved to Vermont where Clarence taught at St. Johnsbury Academy in St. Johnsbury, VT. I finished my college degree at a small liberal arts college - Lyndon State College. Eventually we moved back to Texas for Clarence to attend SFA to obtain his MA in Sociology. From there, we moved to Aggieland where Clarence completed his Ph.D in Sociology. Our two children were born in Bryan, TX. In 1983, he signed a contract with Adams State College in Alamosa, CO as an Assistant Professor of Sociology. After a few years I returned to teaching in the Alamosa Public School District. After 23 years of teaching English and American History, I retired this past May, 2011. My husband also retired this year.
