Vicki's Story
Hi Everyone! After High School, I worked in the clerical field at Talon for 11 years. I married Les in 1977. He is a graduate of Saegertown High School/Allegheny College. We've been blessed with 2 sons. Our family lived in Meadville until Talon started showing signs of downsizing! At that time, Les started his new career in the Atmospheric Gas Industry, that moved us to 5 different states and to the East side of Pennsylvania. Les has now retired and we live in Texas. We are fortunate that our oldest son Les Jr. and his wife Kathleen, live about 5 hours from us, so we are able to see them several times a year! My life journey has led me to seek a religious vocation. After completing 5+ years of study, I was accepted into the Order of Carmelite Discalced Secular, in an isolated status. My other interests are in earth sciences, art, poetry and music. I've had one poem published.
Life keeps us very busy! Our youngest son Ken, is 25 years old, and very active in Special Olympics, as an Athlete/Coach. My husband and I support his activities as much as possible, with Les Coaching many sports for the athletes.
Our latest endeavor is refurbishing a little bungalow we purchased in Meadville last fall, so we can spend more time with our northern loved ones we've missed for so long!
