Vicki's Story

Life Hi Everyone. Many of you probably don't remember who I am (Vicki Lawrence) because I attended three high schools and two colleges. All five schools are included in my Classmates, and I have been able to connect with friends from three of them - but just realized that I haven't really posted a bio. This will be a brief version. 1) We lived in Waldwick, NJ from 6th grade through one-half of 9th grade so I have included Midland Park High School in my list. I have been able to connect with Chris Cooper and Peggy Conklin and we have had so much fun e-mailing. Peggy and I even met in Phoenix briefly. My family moved to Cherry Hill, NJ in 9th grade and lived there through 11th grade. I have connected with Lynne Mitchell from Cherry Hill. She visited me in San Francisco a couple of years ago and I visited her in Vermont the following fall (beautiful)!! We moved to the Panama Canal Zone for 12th grade and two years of college. I connected with Nelson Borrero and Mike Chavez. I haven't heard from anyone at Canal Zone College or Oklahoma City University and would really like to hear from someone. When you move around a lot you really lose touch. At any rate I married David Shapiro out of college (OCU) and we lived in Manhatten for a couple of years and Oklahoma City for a few years. We have one son - Scott - age 34. We divorced after seven years and when Scott was 5 he and I moved to San Francisco. God I love that town!! Anyway - I'm a paralegal, have been for 30...Expand for more
years, and have been able to take my trade with me on our moves. When Scott was 10 we moved back to Oklahoma City where my parents had retired. I met my second husband, Bruce Bielecki (from Miami, Florida), in Oklahoma City. He worked for Southwestern Bell at the time. We married and he was transferred to St. Louis. We spent seven years in St. Louis and were sent back to Oklahoma City for three years. After that Bruce became instrumental in building the fiber-optic network around the United States and we moved to Reno, Nevada. We have been in Reno for 11 years. We plan to stay. We love it and are both still working full time. Scott graduated from the University of Florida in 1994 and worked as a trader on the Chicago Board of Options Exchange until 9/11. He is now a hedge fund manager for an investment co. in Oakland, CA. He hasn't married and I am not a grandma but can hardly wait. Bruce and I have been married for almost 23 years and have such a good time. We have a strong "friends" base all over the U.S. so we travel alot and have lots of out of town company. I work for a wonderful appellate attorney and hope to stay here until retirement. Other than that - there is a lot to tell - but these are the bare facts mam. Sure hope to hear from you soon. I'll post some pictures one of these days if I ever remember to bring them in. In the meantime, everyone post their bio. I'd love to read them.
