Vicki's Story
Life...hmmm. Loving life today!! I am married to a great man for 8 years, who also happens to be a nurse in the OR. I have four children, a stepdaughter, and a daughter-in-law. I have 7 grandsons, 2 granddaughters. LOVE being a grandma! (2 of our kids do not have kids yet, lol) Living in Slidell, LA. 30 minutes north of New Orleans! Love Mardi Gras!
I have been travel nursing since 2002. I worked in Reno, Las Vegas, San Francisco and surrounding areas, Long Beach and Los Angeles. When I first became a nurse, I worked in nursing homes. I can now work almost anywhere: ER, Telemetry, Med-surg, Psych, Rehab, Home Health, Private Duty, Step-down ICU/CCU/TCU. My favorite is in the ER!!! I LOVE BEING A NURSE!
.
I have recently been pursuing my dream of singing professionally! You are NEVER too old to try. I love music. I love singing. I have been to a few auditions, AGT and X Factor. I even auditioned for an opera, just to do it.
Yes, I do a lot of Karaoke, but, what I found with Karaoke, you get lazy, and you don't memorize the words to songs you like. So, now, my goal is to memorize like we used to have to do before Karaoke, lol.
My favorite songs to sing are White Rabbit, Crazy, First Time Ever I saw Your Face, Still Loving You, Rock and Roll, I Who Have Nothing, Dream a Little Dream of Me, Don't Know Why, Glitter In the Air, you know what, My list is too long, hahaha! My husband says I can sing the phone book. lol
I am also t...Expand for more
eaching myself to play the harmonica. You never know UNLESS YOU TRY!
LIFE IS TOO SHORT, EAT DESSERT FIRST!!!! FAILURE ONLY MEANS YOU TRIED!! Love these quotes!

How do i like to relax/blow off steam? CRUISING!!! KARAOKE!!! JACUZZI!!!
Wildest thing I ever did in school? I AM NOT ANSWERING THAT!
Teacher I would love to see again: I HAVE 2: MRS. CAMPASINO (CHOIR) AND MS. GULICH!
If I won $100 million, I would: HELP MY KIDS, MY FAMILY, CHARITIES, THEN SPEND THE REST ON MYSELF, BUILD MY DREAM HOUSE, GET THAT VIPER I ALWAYS WANTED... THE LIST GOES ON AND ON....
To be truly happy, I would be......doing.......with.......: I WOULD BE LIVING IN MY DREAM HOUSE(MANSION), RECORDING IN MY OWN STUDIO, WITH ALL OF MY KIDS, GRANDKIDS, HUSBAND AND ANY OTHER FAMILY THAT WOULD LIKE TO LIVE THERE.
The weirdest job I have ever had: I WAS HIRED TO WORK AS A PIPE FITTER, BUT, NEVER "FIT" ANY PIPES, LOL, ALL I DID WAS PAINT EVERYTHING SAFETY YELLOW, AND NO MATTER HOW CAREFUL I WAS, I STILL GOT PAINT ON AREAS THAT NEVER SHOULD HAVE GOT PAINT ON THEM. HAHA
My first Job was at: BETTINGERS FARM (Swanton, Oh), where I got paid $3.65/hr (i think, I was 14) to PACK CORN INTO CRATES AND TO POLLINATE TOMATOE PLANTS INSIDE OF THE GREENHOUSE. What I remember most about it is THE MIGRANT WORKERS WERE TEACHING ME CUSS WORDS AND I DIDN'T KNOW IT, AND THEY COULDN'T PRONOUNCE MY NAME WITH THE V SOUND AND THEY WOULD SAY BICKI. lol
