Vicki's Story

Life okay, so this is where one posts things about one's self, yes? here goes for those of you who might have the vaguest interest.... i'm currently living in Frankfort, Indiana, working part-time for a national auto parts company. for the fun part - i'm a self-taught jewelry artist currently stumping around the Midwest at art shows and festivals of various natures. it may not seem like much of a life to many but i happen to like it. keeps the creative juices flowing and food on the table. began teaching jewelry making at the local wonderful library. how many libraries can claim the honor of a national library award along with a 200-seat theatre on the second floor AND a yearly art show attended by over 100 artists and attracting the attention of most of the state? i'm very proud to be a part of this bunch. at home, the kid (yes, only one) has grown and flown the nest to Pe...Expand for more
nnsylvania where she too is a jewelry artist and a writer. at home, besides myself, the roost is held down by a zoo of five cats and two dogs. that's about it. oh, yes, and i'm a charter member in two local theatre groups and looking to branch out to a couple more. you know, must feed the ham in me once in a while. that's about it. As an update, I retired in '05 to pay attention to a recalcitrant thyroid which still acts up from time to time. Reworking several things on the house with the help of my brother Pete who is also now retired. We're having fun updating the old homestead. Still living in a 'zoo' where the population has grown. Still active in the arts to the point of turning my living room into a studio. Aside from that, like most everyone, it's just a matter of time that we'll be in some kind of new state of normalcy. Hang in there, Stay safe. Be well.

It is with a heavy heart that I report the passing of my companion ok n Jake. He fought a valiant battle with stage 4 cancer. He is sorely missed. Good bye my friend. 😪
A new neighborhood veggie market opened today, July 6. Corner of Williams & Wabash. Great veggies. Great prices. Look for the pink tent.
