Vicki's Story
Vicki is from Seattle, Washington. She is divorced. Her schools include Blanchet High School and Nathan Hale High School. She attended North Seattle CC to compete her HS diploma and AA degree. She later attended University of Washington (B.A. Psychology) and Seattle U for a Masters degree in Counseling. She worked at Puget Sound Health Care System, Center For Human Services, Highline West Seattle Mental Health Clinic.

However, I have a yearning to be connected to others and don't seem to know how to do that anymore. I used to feel connected through work as a counselor. Now I realize, I used my work to fulfill my friendship/intimacy needs. I looked at some old pictures recently and realized that I used to be much more self assured and people oriented. I have become a recluse and don't know how to move into life (people) anymore. I watch TV and read books. And I'm using the rainy weather as an excuse to stay inside. I quess I don't have to look too far to figure out why I am so depressed!
I am looking forward to spring so I can be in the garden and maybe feel more like being with other people. Andy is my best friend. He keeps me sane....and decreases my anxiety so I can go out into the world. Without him I would be really alone.".
