Went into Shadyside Hospital to have a knee reversion and caught a MERSA infection, which ate away tissue and bone. Its the right leg and I had surgery on April 24,2015. I was in and out of hospitals and 2 nursing homes and finally got home on Christmas Eve. It was so good to be home but I was so sad because I didn't do any shopping for Christmas. I did send out for gift certificates. I am learning to drive with my left foot. We bought a new Ford pickup crew cab and I just found out I can get my leg to the peddles and then my husband adjust the peddles to my leg. I am thankful because I still have a ...Expand for more
leg and I think I get around very well. I'm not as fast as I used to be but I can usually get the job done. We live at the very top of a mountain. Not to many neighbors, but for some bear, deer, coyote, mountain lions and smaller animals like squirrels and chipmunks. I do like it up here, but sometimes get lonely and then I get busy and it goes away. Its very windy here. I have made a few friends but up here in town they shut everything down at5:00 p.m. Everywhere we go we have to travel a distance. A grocery shopping day is all day. Takes 45 minutes to get to Walmart. About the same distance to a mall in DuBois. This is where we decided to retire after we sold the dairy business. We had it with farming and dropping milk prices high feed costs and the list goes on. Our kids did not want anything to do with it so therefore was sold.
We have 3 kids Scott David Queer who is 45, Sandra Lynn Trice-Truchan who is 42, and Tracy Ann Queer is 39. Scott and Sandy are both married with children, Scott 1 and Sandy 4
So that's pretty much my life. I have a great husband of 45 years will be 46 in July 31st. Hope to see you all at Class Reunion.
