Vickie's Story

Life Well I am returning to the classroom after a four year break. I am finally at the stage where all three of my little ones are in school. For me................now is when the real work begins. Three going in three different directions with their extra curricular activities. Lets see............horse back riding, gymnastics, golf, cheerleading, and basketball. I will definitely be insane by our 20 year reunion. I am still very involved with my passion of baton twirling. I have been very fortunate to travel the US judging competitions. In fact I will have the opportunity of a life time to judge the Junior Olympics in a couple of weeks. As long as I am helping my children and other children succeed, I couldnt be happier. School Memories.....................there are way too many to write about. I would definitely say the teacher that most inspired me was my English teacher, Mrs. Menconeri (Ms. Tipton now). I guess she is the one that had a hand in me becoming a teacher. She was amazing! Things to do ...Expand for more
all over again. High school was a blast. I am sure we all would change one or two things in our past. We make mistakes and move forward. I would have to say that the funniest thing/dumbest thing I remember was Jill and I returning from Ocean City and not having enough money to get back across the bridge, so we turned back around and headed back to the beach to bum some money. Little did we know that they would send us a bill. We also shared a box of McDonald's cookies (one for me, one for you) because we were both broke on our trip from the beach. College C-L-E-M-S-O-N...................what a blast. There is nothing like being in DEATH VALLEY. Although my heart belongs in Maryland, my blood will forever bleed ORANGE. College football ROCKS! Having the opportunity to twirl for Clemson University was an experience I will never forget. It has been great to see my two little girls have the experience of twirling on the field over the last two years. It makes a "momma" (yes I have been southernized) proud.
