Vickie's Story
Life
One year after graduation I married Larry Beall from Bridge City, Tx & we were married 31 years & had three children. We lived in Bridge City most of those years. In November 1999 he passed away. In 2002, I married Larry Hamilton from Bridge City. We have 5 children between us, 7 grand-children and 2 great grandchildren. I retired in December 2004 from the Texas Workforce Commission in Orange after working there 22 years and Larry retired in February 2006. We have been spending our time traveling in our RV. re in Colorado. We try to get out of the Texas heat for the summer each year. We have been hit hard by two hurricanes, Rita 2005 and Ike 2008. We spent 6 months out of our home for Rita and 3 months out of our home for Ike. We moved back into the home after Ike even though it wasn't quite finished. We finally finished it. We have had enough of hurricanes. We sold the RV and now have a place up on Toledo Bend. Loving the lakes. We spend a lot of time there now but still have our home in Bridge City. Well we have bought a motor coach now and are traveling again. We still have the place on Toledo Bend but are selling it now.
