Vickie's Story
Let's see where do I start! Well in my Junior year I got married, which in June '08 it has been 23 years. Had my first son my Senior year, second son two years later in '88. Then in 1991 I had my daughter. The few years after school I was a stay at home mom. Later in the years I went to work for Lucky's,which ended up being Ralph's as a courtsey clerk. Then moved up to the service deli. While I was working at Ralph's we went on strike, I never thought we would go back to work. That strike was the PITTS....LOL!! Well we did go back to work, then in 2005 I went out on disability due to my back. I found out that I have a Lumbar Dege...Expand for more
nerative Disk Disease. It hurts like H*LL! I tried to get on Social Security for three years. While I was trying to do that in that time I was incouraged by a lawyer to go back to school for a different trade because he said that I probably wouldn't get my S.S. due to my age and education. Anyways I went back to school to be a Computer Account Clerk, but I'm working for Chevron Oil Company as an Assistant to the Tech Team. Oh yeah almost forgot I am a Grandmother to TWO little girls.
