Vickie's Story

After graduation I went to work at State Farm Insurance in Monroe and worked there until I moved to North Carolina in 1989. I married Eric Thomas in 1987, who was the meteorologist at KNOE at that time. We now live in Charlotte, NC where he has been the Chief Meteorologist at the CBS affiliate here since 1989. 3 children, a son 19 and daughters 16 and 14. I quit work at State Farm when my first child was born and have been a stay-at-home mom since. For the past 2 years we have bought and 'flipped' homes which keeps me pretty busy but I love it. My sister still lives in Bastrop but I do not get back home very often to visit.
