Vickie's Story
Life
My life & world consists of my husband of 33 years, Dale Anderson. Whom I dated for our last two years at East High School. We were married in Sept of 1976. We had our first child in Sept of 1977, a son, AJ Anderson. He is currently a multi-million dollar realator with Iowa Realty. He has been married for the last 10 yrs to Ashley Marie (Brown), who owns & directs her very own daycare named, "A Child's World" at Jordan Creek. They blessed us with two healthy beautiful grandchildren. Blake, our grandson born in Sept 2003, Ally, our one and only granddaughter born in July 2005 and then Brooks born Aug 2010. We were also blessed with a beautiful second child, a daughter, Ashley Jean was born in Dec of 1981. She was married on Sept 29, 2007 to David Blackburn, who is another East High School graduate! They too blessed us with another grandson in Feb of 2009, named him Bode and recently had another handsome son Brett, born in Sept 2010, also. They built their own home & reside in Mitchellville, IA. r UPS. We do have two granddogs one resides at our sons home named, Champ and the other one resides at our daughters home, names Talon. Dale retired from AE Dairy in Oct 2006. Vickie has been employed with the Principal Financial Group for almost 25 yrs, which will be ending the 2nd quarter of 2012 due to loss of the medical insurance business that the company has now been bought out of effective end of 2011. We will enjoy watching our grandchildren play their many sports in our old age and hope to live to a nice ripe old age, God willing. We own our own home & reside right next door to some good-old classmates from good-old East High School. Our neighbors & buddies, John & Linda (McGilvery) Cosner. Too funny, huh? We've lived on the East side our entire soon to be 34 years of marriage. As they say, "Once an Eastsider, ALWAYS an Eastsider!" We would love to see ALL of our old friends on "Eastside Night" at the Iowa State Fair each & every year, if that's possible? Please look us up near the beer tent! Sound good? It's a DATE!
