When I was at Rancho I had a varied group of friends but the ones that I really hung out with were Joanne Burns and Suzanne Armstrong. I went to the church right next to the school on the corner of Orangewood and Dale and a lot of the kids at Rancho were part of the youth group. I really didn't participate in any activities, did go out for badmitton (wow!). Went to the football games, a few water polo games, baseball and basketball. I went to a couple of plays and talent shows because of Brian Kari and some other friends that were in the talent shows. I was pretty quiet at school and really did nothing to stand out. I did go to two formal dances, the ones where the girl asked the guy and I did not go to the prom. I was pretty naive and got tongue tied if a guy talked to me. I was short, with freckles and long, straight dish blonde hair. In my senior picture I look really young, not like some of the others. Other than all of the previous I probably coasted by, unnoticed and unseen. Started to go to Fullerton Jr College with Joanne Burns and Suzanne Armstrong. Dropped out when car broke down and had to find a job to support buying one. During my time at FJC, I met and married my first husband. We had a daughter in 1981, divorced shortly thereafter. Raised her with my parent's help (thank God for parents!) by myself until I remarried in 1993. Not an easy transition for her.
