Vicky's Story

Life This year, 2007, will mark ten years that we have lived in Kansas and that I have been married. Dan and I have two kids, Aidan-7 and Lena-6. My sister, Maggie lives in Kansas now also, and we co-own two stores with her and Sam- Meineke's. My brother Memo, and my sister, Melinda, still live in Arizona, so I visit about every other year or so. Honestly, I don't keep in touch with anyone from our graduating class, not that I was very close with anyone. I've travelled quite a big since high school. Some of my favorite places were- Munich, Hawaii, Chicago, Zurich, New York City. That's probably what Dan and I love to do the most- travel. We're taking a train trip back home this year, to go see the Grand Canyon with the kids! I'm looking forward to that, I think it'll be fun. I never went to college after high school, that is my biggest regret. So, last year, I started taking some courses at the local community college. I'm enjoying it, and I've even got a part-time job there- as a registration clerk in their continuing ed department. I still love to read. Reading is a big part of my life, the one thing I have done consistently for as long as I can remember. Memo it was baseball- me it's reading. I'm more into classical now than into Stephen King like the old days. My favorite author is John Steinbeck. If you've never had a chance to read him, he's great- start with Cannery Row. I also like Dostoevsky, David Sedaris, lots more. Not much else to report, I guess. It's interesting to see all these names on this site. I think practically every single one I hav...Expand for more
e not seen since graduation. I hope you are all well. I remember some of you fondly. I remember Coby Crewse was a great guy, I hope he's doing good. I think I had crushes on all the cute supernerds, like Aron Beasinger and Scott Gardner. Queen Creek is growing like mad, I wonder if many of you still live there? School Boy, I hated school. I felt like the biggest loser in the world. I guess it was my own fault, all I did was work at the video store. But hey, I do love movies now. I saw Mrs. Allred's name in here somewhere, I always liked her. You did a great job, Mrs. Allred, I'm a very fast typer, if I do say so myself. I also liked Mrs. Robinson, she always talked about other countries, I thought it was so fascinating. Maybe that's why I love to travel now. Oh, Man, I had the hugest crush on Keith Brooks, but when he finally did kiss me, I was so nervous that I would have to throw up every time I saw him after that!! I'm sure that was a major turnoff!! There's some people I wish I had kept in touch with. Like, Coby Crewse, he was the nicest, funniest guy. I hope he's doing good. And Joey Andreyka, he was cool too. Mostly guys I guess, girls were usually girly. Except, Ann Summers was always just Ann, just herself, very honest. I secretly admired her for it, I'm sure a lot of people did. Lori Hewitt was really nice. Monica Klein was funny. Oh, Eddie Tafoya, we would always say, "It's not the quantity it's the quality!", heck if I can remember which English teacher said it. There's so many snippets of things that happened, I just hope you all have a great life.
