Victor's Story
Most '66 BHS grads probably don't remember me. I was only there for my senior year. My Dad was stationed at Keesler AFB for that one year. Went to Washintonville High (NY)before that. After I graduated from BHS, I went to college in Minnesota with fellow grad Steve Olson. Left college and joined the Air Force in 1968 and was sent to Syracuse Univ. to study Russian. While there, met and married my wife of 40 years, Linda. Ended up in Turkey as a linguist and anaylist (S/Sgt.,Karamursel AS, Charlie Flight). have developed a love for policical involvement and have served on several campaigns as a state level chairman (Bob Dole and both John McCain campaigns and for several Senate, Congressional and Governors). I have no near-future retirement plans and very much enjoy work, community involvement and our camp in the summer. I spend way too much time and money as a duffer (golf). My biggest claim to fame (two years ago) was being a candidate for a presidential appointment by the Bush Administration to be the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Labor (Mine Safety & Health). Unfortunately, the Senate forced the administration to hold all appointments and it never came to pass. I am now happy to settle into being just a bad golfer, a good husband and father, and a great Grandpa.
