Once again, God has truly blessed my wife and I. We are adopting a newborn baby that is due around May 18 so in less than a month we will become parents. But wait, there's more. A week after we found out that we were going to be adopting a boy (birth mom allows us to go to the sonograms), we found out that we are pregnant. We are expecting another newborn baby around October 14. So, we will be having 2 kids in less than 6 months. They will be like twins but 5 months apart. It should be fun. Pray for us!
Life
I have enjoyed the ups and downs of life. However, I am now on cloud 9 when it comes to my life. God has truly blessed me in ways that I would have never imagined. I married the love of my life, my best friend, Clair. We met in law school and what started out as study partners but ended up into something very special, very blessed. God blessed my life with her and we were wed on August 4, 2006 in Hawaii. Another great thing that has happened to me is that I was recently baptized and accepted God into my life as an adult. I was baptized at the Heights Fellowship Christian Church in Lubbock. Although baptized at birth, this was my ...Expand for more
choice, not my parents. I am so close to God now that I don't know why I did not search Him out sooner.
Let's see what else...I have served in the U.S. Army, and I also worked for the Fort Worth Police Dept. for 5 years. After working on the streets for 5 years, I realized that I could do so much more. I gave up the badge and gun and headed to law school. I graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law (in Lubbock, TX), as did my wife. We both took a job at the same law firm in Amarillo and we are doing well. Although we are attorneys, it is not exactly what we thought it would be like. So if you are thinking about going to law school, talk to us first. I also graduated with an MBA from Texas Tech.
Besides being an attorney, I am also a part-time professor at West Texas A&M. I teach business law, which is a junior-level course. I love teaching and really have the desire to be a full-time professor. However, my real desire is to become a coach at the college level.
College
Graduated with a JD and a MBA from Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, Texas. Got my Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences degree from Midwestern State University.
