Victor's Story
I lived at 2 different places in the old neighbor hood, 7415 Penrod and 7431 Brace at the corner of Sawyer and Brace. I quit school in Jan. 62 after a bout with a teacher. In July 62 after turning 17, I joined the army as I had always planned to do from the early years of my life that I can remember. While in the army I married 1 Oct. 1964, we had 4 kids, 1 girl and 3 boys. After 22 years of marriage my wife decided she wanted a divorce after meeting another guy while we were in Germany, I was still in the army, 24 1/2 years at the time, so I retired and she got her divorce. I settled down in N.C., met and married my current wife of 24 years. My kids don't have anything to do with me which I don't understand. vine I have 9 grandsons between CA. and TX. I am now 66 but still try to remember my friends and people from the days of my youth. I have lost good friends from school and during my military time and I know life is short so we got to make the best of it while we can. I will admit I made a lot of mistakes in my youth as a young man. I wasn't sure if girls would date me because I came from a poor home, there were only the 3 of us, my Mom, brother and myself. I didn't gain self esteem until my first tour in Korea, Jan. 1963- Jan.1964, and in that year did a lot of growing into a man. With my profile on this web site, I hope to reach out to at least my friends and the girls I dated and or liked. I will welcome anyone that will reply to my postings. Thank you
