Victor's Story
Well, what can I say. For me, High School sucked huge. I didn't fit in with anybody and hated every minute of it. Thing is, every single person I've met since then, even briefly, I've had no problems with whatsoever, despite whatever friction we may have had in those days. Kinda' odd looking back, just seems so stupid the stuff that seemed important in those days.
These days I lead a pretty typical life. Got married and had two great kids and live in a nice house in Decatur IL. I'm a product manager at the Champaign site for Forcepoint Federal, who mostly services government for high security software. tty bad every day (LOL), so I offset that with playing the bass guitar to keep the artistic side of my brain going, and also love riding my Harley as much as I can.
I've played mostly cover bands (rock, funk, blues, you name it), currently in imaginethatband.com and some local churches with contemporary music programs, but also did a bunch of Jazz in the 80's.
I've expanded that hobby into being kind of a high end gear nerd and write for Bass Gear Magazine now as a staff reviewer. Just a start-up, no paychecks yet, just perks (trips to NAMM and Musikmesse, cheap gear, etc).
Anyway, life is pretty good these days, and I try to remember to be thankful for what I have. Hope y'all do the same.
Peace.
