Life
Graduated WSU, communications/pr major, 1998. 25 yrs. radio broadcasting. 1998-2003 at Metro Times, Detroit's leading alternative newspaper as copy editor. I joined Crain's Detroit Business in late 2003 as copy editor. Downsized to 11 hours a week Dec. 2008, left company in 2013. Freelanced and did a bunch of miscellaneous work, became copy editor of pathologyoutlines.com, owned by class of 1975 member Dr. Nat Pernick, in 2017. Retired in 2021. Married Cindy Briggs 1992.
College

Workplace
Started working in radio at WSHJ-FM (Southfield High) while a senior at S-L. Went to MSU, worked radio there, dropped out, went back, dropped out again. Worked on-air radio in Lansing, Flint, St. Joseph, Mt. Clemens and Saginaw, Mich; in and around Ft. Myers, Florida; in Gallup New Mexico. Also worked for magazine about broadcasting/recording industry. Spent time in Detroit as studio and airborne traffic reporter using three names on 22 different stations. Joined Metro Times as copy editor in 1998 after graduating from Wayne State with a degree in public relations.
