Victoria's Story

I have two children and 5 grandchildren; My first husband died in a car accident when I was 22, raised my kids on my own and built a career in telelcommunications management from the ground up. Started as a 'tape hanger' in a computer room and eventually made it all the way to the level of Director at MCI. I retired at 46 from corporate America, entered Real Estate and decided it wasn't for me, so at 50 I went back to college at UCCS and got my BA in Psychology with a minor in Ant...Expand for more
hropology, and I am currently working on my MA at UCCS. I remarried 17 years ago to a wonderful man, Doug Wekamp and we currently live just south and west of Colorado Springs in the Mountains. Life has been a wonderful journey of adventure balanced with plenty of learning opportunities and loss. I never would have guessed that this was the direction my life would have taken in high school, but I am in a wonderful place and terrific marriage, with a great family and amazing friends.
