Victoria's Story
Life
After giving the wrong finger to the wrong guys, twice, I "re-met" Dave Bernal (Kennedy - 1985) in October of 1996 at a club on Washington Ave. We were married on the 4th of July, 1999. We moved to Northwest Arkansas that year, so Dave could accept a promotion with Purina. I finished my BFA at the University of Arkansas in 2003 (it only took 6 schools and 18 years!) We have been incredibly happy, but have been struggling to have children. My cousin, Patty (Kennedy 1984-85) will be a gestational carrier for us in late winter 2005. We do have two cats, and two dachshunds, who keep us busy. Unfortunately, we lost our beloved Golden Retriever in July of 2004. We will very likely be taking a temporary relocation (1 -2 years) with Dave's company in Vevey, Switzerland, sometime in 2005. We're looking forward to our chance of a lifetime adventure, but still hope to get back to our family and friends in Missouri, soon.
School
Started Kindergarten at Rose Acres Elementary School in Pattonville School District. Finished 6th grade and moved on to Holman Jr. High. Finished 7th grade at St. Blaise in hopes of improving my grades (mom's idea). Moved to So...Expand for more
uth County after my parent's divorce. Went to St. Catherine Laboure for 8th grade. Lived with my mother in 9th grade and went to Lindbergh High School out of convenience. Lived with my dad in 10th grade, and went to J.F.K. High School, because the public school system, he lived in, wasn't an option. Graduated from J.F.K. in 1985.
College
Headed for Southeast Missouri State in the fall of 1985 after graduating from High School. Pledged Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority (legacy to my mom). For financial reasons dropped out in the Spring of 1988. Attended Meramec, Forest Park and SIUE intermittently, to keep myself busy. Most of these credits were not applicable to my eventual degree. Put higher education on the back burner, while I pursued a series of dead-end, but fairly well-paying jobs. Followed husband's job promotion to Northwest Arkansas in 1999. Enrolled at the University of Arkansas in January 2001. Took 9 hours at Northwest Arkansas Community College in Spring of 2002. Graduated (finally!) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Studio Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design in May of 2003. I am not working now, but I would like to teach someday.
