VICTORIA ANN's Story
Married right out of High School and left for England. My son, Gregory, was born in England August 1, 1963. My husband, Ed Bonner, was stationed at an airforce base southeast of London. I returned to the states and relocated to Lubbock Texas where my second son, Michael was born January 24, 1965.. Returned to Michigan in 1965 and worked at the National Bank of Detroit as a tour guide. Ed and I divorced in the late 60's. I married again in 1971, and lived in Birmingham, then Troy and finally Howell Michigan. I attended Michigan State University majoring in Psychology. Unfortunately that marriage also ended in divorce. In 1977 I met Charles Fields, while scuba diving in the Grand Caymans. I relocated to Florida and in 1979 Charles and I were married. We both started our insurance agency, Fields Insurance Agency Inc, located in Boca Raton, Florida in 1979. We both inherited two step children giving us 4 children. We became ardent Gator Fans when some of our children attended University of Florida. Three of our children married giving us five grandchildren ages 30 to 19 My oldest son, Gregory, retired as a LT COL from the Army after a tour of duty in Iraq, and our oldest Grandson, Chris, was a Marine and also served in the war zone. Chris & his wife Wendy presented us with our first Great Grand Daughter, Brenda and another Great Grand Daughter is expected this May 2015. Our daughter, Diane, works as a teacher's assistant, Michael is an insurance inspector, and Chuck Jr works for a Safood supplier. Our three granddaughters are in college, while our youngest grandson is a freshman in college. Charles passed away November ...Expand for more
16th 2011 from lung cancer. The last of our children proposed to his girlfriend on 12/23/11 and married in June of 2012. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful, loving family and great friends. . I retired & sold my insurance agency. Enjoying trips here and abroad. I still love the theater, cooking, reading, and silly board games. I have a male 7year old Miniature Schnauzer named Tebow, a 1980 T Top Corvette which is my "baby" & a 1990 Corvette named Blackie 2. I love living in Boca Raton Florida with the Ocean and Palm Trees. I am still a sucker for a movie that turns out "right" and am trying to stay technologically in step. Thank God for grandchildren that have all the I phones, E books, lap tops, tablets etc., down pat and have the patience to instruct their grandmother. I have no idea what the future holds for me and am curious to see what is going to happen on the next "leg" of my journey.
Update: When I sold my insurance agency in October 2011 with the thought of retiring. I did the usual and became restless when an opportunity presented itself to use my 34 years of insurance knowledge. I went through intensive training obtaining the licenses and necessary certifications and am now a Catastrophic Insurance Adjuster. Like I said before life is a continuous journey and I am enjoying all the twists and turns even the bumps in the road of life. I hope the same holds true for all of my fellow alumni. I have been blessed and met a wonderful man. And I will be dividing my time between Connecticut and Florida. Life is strange, life is wonderful. I hope all of my fellow alumni are embracing life and enjoying it as much as I
