Vin's Story
I grew up in West Covina but my family moved to Thousand Oaks, CA. in summer of 1960 so I didn't graduate with the people I grew up with. After graduating from Camarillo High School in 1962 I joined the Navy and retired in 1991. After retiring from the Navy I worked in computer security and then with Sony in their customer support center as a customer support technical trainer. I retired from Sony in 2004 and took on a full time position teaching computer technology at a local university. On July 1, 2016 I retired from the university but I'm still teaching part time.
Sports interests:
I don't follow professional sports because I think what they get paid to play a game is obscene and I refuse to help support the industry.
I earned my Master of Education degree from the University of South Florida so I do follow USF and university teams but I'm not a fanatic about any sport overall.
Politically I'm a Conservative Libertarian.
I believe the government needs to stay out of our business and I don't care what you do as long as it doesn't hurt someone else and doesn't infringe on my rights. That includes my right to worship. The First Amendment provides freedom 'of' religion, not freedom 'from' religion. If a Star of David, a cross, a Nativity scene, or any other artifact with religious symbolism, from any religion, causes you pain or upsets you emotionally you need to see a psychiatrist, not a lawyer.

heir lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to bring back the Republic that this generation has timidly frittered away due to "white guilt" and political correctness....."

"Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so
forth - are never basic criteria. The human race divides politically into those who want people to be controlled and those who have no such desire."
~ ~ ~ Robert A. Heinlein
“Show respect to all people and grovel to none. When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision..."

My hobbies:
Reading, studying American history, and firearms.
Although competition shooting and loading my own ammunition are a major interest for me I do not hunt. I wouldn't eat what I'd kill so I'm not going to kill it. Even when I fish I catch and release because I don't eat fish.
Summary:
Living and loving it in beautiful Fort Myers, Florida.
